Silver Lake Jubilee 2012
Silver Lake Jubilee 2012, a set on Flickr.
Los Angeles, California - The place to be during 2012 memorial day weekend was the Silver Lake Jubilee. All the cool kids gathered in the hipsterific neighborhood to enjoy 2 days of live music. The quantity/quality ratio of bands was quite high indeed. A bit expensive for a block party but less than a festival. Food trucks and cool artisan shops filled the gap between the two main stages. Nearby bars participated of the event as their indoor stages featured bands as well.Autolux is the reason I assisted the event. The band, local to Silverlake, headlined day one with a performance worth a million. I have been fortunate to enjoy this band live 3 times in NY, CHI and LA - all memorable and flawless. Buy their shit here.
